Valiant Power and the Development of Mobile Security Trailers
Valiant Power’s mobile solar security trailers began with a customer inquiry and developed through continuous improvement. From diesel generators to solar lighting and CCTV-equipped platforms, the company refined its products around customer feedback, operating conditions and power requirements.

An inquiry from Australia opens a new direction
Founded in 2010 by Henry Weng, Paul Fang and Darren Weng, Valiant Power initially manufactured diesel generators. In March that year, an Australian customer requested a solar lighting tower and supplied technical documents. Paul Fang spent a week studying the requirements before advancing the design and sourcing components. By August 2010, the first-generation VTS3P-L was complete, combining solar panels, a trailer and LED lighting. The customer welcomed the product while identifying areas for improvement.
Customer feedback drives VTS3P improvements
Early VTS3P trailers revealed problems including corrosion and untidy wiring, particularly in coastal applications. Paul Fang worked directly with customers to understand electrical and structural concerns. Henry Weng used that feedback to refine the design, identify better materials and suppliers, and improve structural stability and towing performance. The team also considered potential operating problems, making safety and the user experience central to product development.
Manufacturing develops alongside the product
Darren Weng supported these changes through factory staff training and machinery upgrades. Valiant Power invested in specialist training and added production steps to meet rising quality requirements. These measures helped turn design improvements into consistent manufacturing practice. Continued refinement strengthened the VTS3P and helped the company build its reputation through customer relationships.

Solar lighting expands into mobile video security
Before 2013, Valiant Power mainly supplied solar lighting trailers to mining markets in Australia, the Middle East and South America; the United States represented a smaller share of its business. In May 2013, Andre, an Australian customer operating in the United States, visited the factory. His insights clarified American demand for mobile security trailers with CCTV systems. The company then began developing solar trailers with integrated video surveillance, extending its focus beyond lighting.

Power configurations adapt to sunlight conditions
Regional differences in sunlight led to further changes. The original article describes northern U.S. applications where three 435 W solar panels could not meet CCTV power demand. The team added a gasoline generator as a supplementary power source. For the southern U.S. market, it introduced the lighter, economical VTS2P with two solar panels. The article also describes Victron components that allow remote monitoring of battery charging and discharging, supporting operation and maintenance.

Custom manufacturing serves a global customer base
According to the article published in October 2024, Valiant Power was then shipping more than 6,000 mobile solar trailers worldwide each year. Customers also used its products in rental and resale businesses. As requests for custom solutions grew, the company continued designing and manufacturing around specific applications, responding to customer needs through improvements in design, manufacturing and power configuration.
Historical configuration note: the article’s 435 W panels describe past applications. Current 2P/3P/4P product models use 450 W panels per the latest product amendment. Historical shipments and present capacity are distinct measures.
